ABOUT ECOSUPERIOR
We Are Your Green Community Organization
EcoSuperior was incorporated in 1994 by the Lakehead Environmental Action Group (LEAG) in order to address environmental issues for Thunder Bay and area. We are a not-for-profit organization, operated by a volunteer board of directors, with a paid staff of 10 employees. We are a member of Green Communities Canada (GCC) and the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce.
Our Mission - EcoSuperior delivers programs that encourage and support environmental stewardship in the Lake Superior basin and beyond, for the benefit of present and future generations.
EcoSuperior is a partnership organization, and we acknowledge the support of many community, corporate and government partners who help make our programs possible. We do not have core funding, but rely on project funding from a variety of sources to maintain the organization.
Our programs focus on five areas:
- Water
- Waste Reduction
- Energy Conservation & Climate Change
- Pollution Prevention
- Urban Greenspaces
