This is a list of all the services we offer from our organization. For more detailed information please follow the links provided. To participate in any of the programs or for specific information please call EcoSuperior at 624-2140 or visit our office (Mon - Fri: 830am - 430pm).

Resident of Thunder Bay

  • City of Thunder Bay's Toilet Rebate Program - Free visit to qualify your toilet for the rebate and delivery water conservation materials.
  • Well Aware Program - Free visit (approx. 2 hrs) where you learn how to care for & maintain your well and septic. (Mileage fee may apply)
  • Stream Monitoring Training Sessions - Free day long instructional classes on stream monitoring (Available in the Summer).
  • EcoEnergy Retrofit Inspection - $300 energy audit of your home which qualifies you for government grants under the EcoEnergy Retrofit program.
  • Apartment Recycling - Free visit for apartment building owners who wish to add recycling to their building. (Call for details)
  • Spring Up To Clean Up - Annual event with free participation. Help keep Thunder Bay clean and enter a group. (Look for registration starting in March)
  • Waste Reduction Week - An annual event with a variety of displays, school presentations, promotions and other events to celebrate this week. (Look for details starting September)
  • Central Natural Environmental Gardens - Weekly weeding and education on maintaining a natural garden. (Available Summer Only)
  • Lake Superior Day - 3rd Sunday of July is a celebration of Lake Superior. Enjoy a free concert, crafts, displays and cake.
  • Mercury Recycling - Free recycling of fluorescent light bulbs (cfl and tubes up to 4 ft) and mercury thermostats.
  • Mercury Detection - Worried about a mercury spill in your home? Let EcoSuperior use the "Lumex" device to detect if traces of mercury still exist from the spill.

Resident of Rural Thunder Bay

School, Children's Group (Beavers, Brownies etc.)
  • Energy Conservation Presentation - A free 30-45 minute presentation that engages the children in energy conservation practices. (Available year round)
  • Waterworks Presentation For Schools - Free 45 min presentation for grades 2-5. Which reinforces the student's knowledge of water usage, the water cycle, water consumption and conservation. (Available year round)
  • Study Our Streams - Free presentation where students can experience 'hands-on' the wonders of life in streams and rivers. (Spring Sessions Only)
  • Anti-Idling Campaign - An educational awareness program that promotes anti-idling throughout school zones.
  • Spring Up To Clean Up - Annual event with free participation. Help keep Thunder Bay clean and enter a group. (Look for registration starting in March)
  • Waste Reduction Week - An annual event with a variety of displays, school presentations, promotions and other events to celebrate this week. (Look for details starting September)

  • Mercury Health and Environmental Impacts - Free presentation on the health risks and environmental impacts of mercury. May also include discussion on mercury reduction in schools (success stories).
  • Waste Reduction Ideas And Activities - A variety of activities that can be used in the classroom or education groups to teach about waste reduction.

  • EcoDriver Office Presentation - Free 45 min presentation. Vehicles are integral of our lives you can learn how to reduce your environmental impact and save money with the vehicle you currently drive.
  • ClickOn Power$avers - 45 min presentation on reducing your energy use at your business or office. (Inquire for details and cost).
  • Mercury Health and Environmental Impacts - Free presentation on the health risks and environmental impacts of mercury.
