HALLOWE'EN MAKEUP
Halloween is a great time to use makeup, but do it safely. For great face painting tips, see Cindy's Creative Celebrations
When using everyday makeup and personal care products, keep in mind that an adult is exposed to an average of 126 different chemicals daily from personal care products. Some of these ingredients are absorbed by our skin, and some ingredients are safer than others. Choose personal products wisely!

WHAT CAN I DO?
- Read the label -- some ingredients are safer than others. Use an internet search engine to find safer cosmetics.
- Less is best. Reduce your chemical exposure by using fewer products, in smaller amounts and/or less often.
- Choose products with fewer ingredients to reduce potential health risks such as allergies.
- Consider products from companies that have signed the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics Contract.
- Limit children's use of cosmetics.
