Eco Superior COMMERCIAL WATER AUDIT SERVICE

EcoSuperior delivers a commercial water conservation program for the City of Thunder Bay. The less water we use, the less we degrade this valuable resource and the less it will cost to bring it back to an acceptable standard for the community's use. Demonstrating environmental responsibility also enhances your company's public image. WATER AUDIT SERVICE

A trained water conservation specialist from EcoSuperior will visit your site to complete a full analysis of water consumption.

We include measurement of all flow rates from washroom fixtures:
faucets, fountains, toilets, urinals, showers

We provide metering of individual areas as required:
cafeteria/kitchen, individual washrooms, power plants, laundry areas,
separate buildings on the main meterRatings and performance of individual appliances: coolers/chillers, ice makers, cooling towers, washers, water softeners, etc.

A complete report is prepared, highlighting an estimate of potential water reduction and cost savings. Measures eligible for financial incentives will be identified. Payback period for your investment in water conservation will also be calculated.

WHAT FINANCIAL INCENTIVES ARE OFFERED?

The City of Thunder Bay may be able to offer financial incentives to help reduce the payback period of any water conservation measures recommended in the audit.

Currently, the City of Thunder Bay is offering $50 credit on your water account for every waterless urinal and toilet unit that is changed to a ULF (6-litres per flush or less) model. Other water conservation measures will be credited on an individual basis, often from 25 to 50% of the equipment cost.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM?

Industrial, commercial (office or retail) and institutional customers on the City of Thunder Bay piped water system with a water account in good standing.

WHAT KIND OF SAVINGS CAN WE EXPECT?

Most commercial operations who have not taken any measures to conserve water in recent years can find 25 - 30% annual savings by addressing issues identified by a comprehensive water audit. This level of potential savings can make an investment in water conservation a wise priority.

WHY CONSERVE WATER?

Reduced Costs
The less you use, the less you pay. The sewer surcharge is based on usage as well, so you can decrease both charges by reducing the amount of water used. By reducing hot water use, you save on energy charges.

Reduced Chemical Use
If less water is used, less energy and chemicals are required to pump and treat water before and after use.

Extended Water System Life
For the municipal water systems as well as plant operations, replacements may be postponed and maintenance costs reduced by lower usage levels.
